Why do I photograph families?

Nostalgia. I am a nostalgia fiend. Some say you shouldn’t look back but sometimes you need to to see how far you have come. How have you all changed? Children grow up fast, you might move house or decorate and sadly, sometimes people leave us.

I like hanging out with new people, seeing how you interact and live and then using my photographic eye to document it for you. Leaving you with a photographic legacy to be passed through the family.

My wife came back from a visit to her childhood home with a couple of little photo albums, full of old pets, homes, gardens, passed down clothes and people long gone.
