Lancashire family photography

I had a great couple of hours with a lovely family in Garstang, Lancashire a couple of weeks ago.

I’ll be honest, I was worried about two teenagers but as I was welcomed into the house I spotted a wall of photographs, I could see that this family understood and appreciated what I was there to do.

With awful weather on the run up to the shoot we decided to stay in the house rather than the planned walk at the time of booking, November really was horrible!

I know a lot of people still think of white backgrounds or at least being outside during a family shoot but the most interesting and important background is your own home.

As Christmas was fast approaching, the family came together to decorate a couple of trees and then built a ginger bread house. I really enjoyed seeing so many baubles that had special meanings and hearing the stories behind them. Now they have a set of images to go with them too.

I left feeling excited for Christmas and energised to do more family work in 2023, please do get in touch if you fancy letting me into your life for a coupe of hours.

I’ll leave you with a small selection of images.
